Rosewood Motokhana Results 27/10/24
There were perfect conditions for Sunday’s Motorkhana. We had 10 starters after the Fro and Naomi Horobin’s crew had mechanical issues and could not attend. Ian and Robert McDougall were early casualties when they blew a power steering hose on the Commodore. As always, the competition was fierce between Toby and Ben Barton in the Subaru. Travis Barton and Clayton Hamilton put on a tyre shredding driving show on the bitumen. Peter Murphy was equally impressive in the resurrected from the paddock, Torana speedway car and despite no tech in the car was not far off the times of far younger cars. Wayne Manwaring displayed some impressive driving skills to be right in the hunt for the top places. But the dominate force for the day was Nelson Boyd in his BMW. His impressive driving skills matched with the horsepower of the BMW won the day by being unbeaten across the 4 timed events.
Thanks to Toby for running the event and the free BBQ,
Thanks to Carl Gibbs for taking the time to come up to Rosewood and help with timing.
