The WDCC will be conducting a Motorkhana at Rosewood Skidpan on Sunday 18th August 2024.

 

EVENT SCHEDULE:

  • Gates open at 8.00am and close at 4.30pm.
  • Scrutiny will commence at 8.30am.
  • The compulsory Drivers Meeting/Briefing begins at 9.30am at the event control 
    marquee to the left of the Skidpan circuit entry. Anyone failing to attend must 
    present to the Clerk of Course or risk exclusion from the Event.
  • Please see Section 8 for details of course activities.
  • All track activity will cease at 3.30pm.

1. Entries

  • Entries are now open and will close on 18 Aug 2024 at 9am. Late entries will not be 
    accepted.
  • Only entries completed by the official entry method and accompanied by the correct fee will 
    be accepted. 
  • This Event is only open to those competitors holding a current AASA (or CAMS) General Speed Licence 
    or higher. To apply for a 12-month AASA General Speed Licence, or Day Licence please visit 
    Motorsport Licensing - Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (aasa.com.au)or contact AASA on 03 5721 7800.
  • The WWDCC have an online entry platform for competitoirs to pre-enter the event. Entries 
    can be submitted online via https://www.waggadistrictcarclub.org/events/ .
  • The Clerk of Course reserves the right to cancel the event if there are not enough entries 
    received to make the event financially viable. This decision will be made after 6:00pm on 
    the Friday prior to the event. If this occurs, all those who have entered the event will be 
    notified and arrangements will be made to refund their entry fee.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry if deemed appropriate, the Clerk of 
    Course may withdraw any entry on the grounds of safety, misconduct or inappropriate 
    behavior requirements of the Wagga Wagga & District Car Club. 
  • The minimum age requirement for a Khanacross event is 14 years of age. The entrant must 
    hold a AASA General Speed Licence or approved equivalent. Entries from competitors under 
    18 years of age must be countersigned / consented to by a parent or guardian.  
  • WWDCC invite other car club members to participate as long as they have appropriate 
    licensing and it is verified during documentation.

  • The entry fee is $60 for adults and $10
  • Payment will be accepted by online or cash on the day only. for juniors.

5. Vehicle and Safety Requirements

  • Vehicles must comply with the AASA NCR’
  • Vehicles must be competition ready with all loose items removed from the vehicle.s

6. Scrutiny

  • Scrutiny will begin at 8.30am. Please ensure you bring your completed pre-scrutiny form if 
    applicable.
  • Vehicles entered in the competition must have passed scrutiny prior to participating in any 
    track activities.
  • Current competition Licences and full driving apparel must be presented at scrutiny. If your 
    vehicle has been issued with a Vehicle Passport, this must be presented at Scrutiny as well. 
    Vehicles which suffer damage must be re-examined before entering the track again.

7. Passengers

  • Passengers will only be allowed for training purposed of new or junior competitors at the 
    discretion and approval of the clerk of course. A Passenger Indemnity Form (NSW) must be 
    completed by the passenger prior to riding in a vehicle unless they are a licensed competitor 
    who is entered in the event.

8. Event Format

  • Competition will consist of single vehicle runs over the course which is on a Tarmac surface. 
    Hand held timing will be used for timing. A minimum of 4 runs will be conducted.
  • A speed limit of 10km/h shall apply in the area surrounding the competition courses and 
    must be observed whilst proceeding between courses.
  • The competition running order will be decided on the day. Alterations to the running order 
    will be made at Clerk of the Course's discretion to allow for multiple drivers in the same car, 
    juniors or first time entrants. 
  • Reconnaissance: So that each Competitor may be familiar with each course, a 
    reconnaissance run may be held before the start of competition on that course. This 
    reconnaissance run will be led by the Clerk of the Course or his nominee and will not exceed 
    20km/h. Due to some course layouts reconnaissance may have to be walked.
  • No re-runs will be allowed for mechanical failure. All other re-runs will be at the discretion of 
    the Clerk of Course.
  • Penalties for the event will be as follows:  
    -Wrong Direction – slowest penalty free time + 5 seconds. 
    -Failure to complete a run - slowest penalty free time + 5 seconds. 
    -Failure to stop within garage – Plus 10 seconds. 
    -Striking/dislodging a course or garage marker = + 5 seconds per marker. 
    -Failure to attempt a run - slowest penalty free time + 10 seconds

9. Facilities

  • There is a toilet available onsite. 

10. Noise

  • The maximum noise limit is 95dBa measured at 30 metres.
  • Noise testing may take place at any time at the discretion of the Chief Scrutineer or the Clerk 
    of Course. Any car found to exceed the maximum noise emission limit will be suspended 
    from the Event until the Chief Scrutineer / Clerk of Course is satisfied that action has been 
    taken to bring it within the limit. Any vehicle that exceeds the limit on two runs will be 
    excluded from the remainder of the Event. If a vehicle exceeds the noise limit on any lap or 
    laps within a run then only those laps in which the vehicle conformed to the requirements 
    will be allowed for the purpose of the results. 

11. Smoking

  • Smoking in the pit areas is prohibited.  Consult the Clerk of the Course on the day for the 
    designated smoking area.  

12. Drugs and Alcohol

  • Consumption of alcoholic liquor by Drivers or Pit Crew is forbidden prior to the completion of 
    the Event in accordance with Schedule 3 of the NCR’s. All Drivers must have a BAC below 
    0.01 and no illicit drugs in their system. 

13. Drugs and Alcohol Testing

  • All competitors and Officials are advised that random drug and alcohol testing may take 
    place during the competition.
  • Any driver or crew member being found to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational 
    drugs during the Event will be excluded from the Event, and further penalties may be 
    imposed in accordance with the NCR’s. 

14. Fuel

  • There is no fuel available to buy on-site. The closet fuel to the venue is located at 
    Tumbarumba, a 19km drive. Fuel can only be stored in 20 litre fuel drums or containers that 
    meet AS1940/AS/NZS2906 or higher in order to comply with OH&S requirements and the 
    Dangerous Goods Act 1985. There is a maximum of 2 x 20 litre containers per bay at any 
    one time.. 
  • Refuelling may take place outside of garages. All drivers, crew and passengers must be 
    outside of the vehicles while refuelling. A crew member should be on stand-by holding a fire 
    extinguisher during the refuelling process.

15. Protests

  • Any protest must be lodged with the Clerk of Course in accordance with the NCR’s.

16. Other Regulations

  • Please ensure that you read the event information and disclaimer and confirm acceptance 
    of the event terms and conditions in the two tick boxes at the bottom of the page. In addition 
    to the information required online, the Organisers will obtain a signed disclaimer from 
    participants and entrants at the event. Entrants/Owners NOT attending the event and 
    competitors under 18 will need to download the relevant disclaimer for signing and ensure 
    it is produced at the event documentation.  
    Entries must be complete and include the entry fee. Entries that do not include the entry fee 
    will be null and void.
